Next to the Reno River, the border between the lands of Ferrara and Bologna, along the provincial road that connects Cento to Bologna. Here, on 9th of February 1974, Paolo Minelli inaugurated the namesake pizza restaurant. Easy to reach and convenient for its wide parking area, the restaurant has two rooms: a large one for 130/150 seats and a smaller one for more intimate lunches/dinenrs.
The chef Paolo, with his wife Anna and their son Luca, offer, in their spacious kitchen, the most traditional dishes of the Bolognese school, such as the famous tortellini together with a nice variety of fresh homemade pastas. Tagliatell, ricotta cheese tortelloni, lasagne, garganelli, meat ravioli and passatelli. The air we breathe invites us to propose an extra dish from the Ferrara province: cappellacci with pumpkin. The kitchen is also specialized in selecting and cooking the meat, so you can taste the finest cuts: beef, veal, porc; grilled, roasted and fried. In the coldest season do not miss our colorful boiled meat.
For the perfect end of the meal you should taste our classic home made desserts, from revisited recipes taught by our “grandma”. There is a very rich wine list, cared by our sommeliers Andrea and Claudia. In the town of Pieve, the Minelli has the distinction of the longest running and lasting pizzeria and restaurant.
